About Us

Atlanta Swim School is an organization, founded by Sabir Muhammad, 10 time American Swimming Record Holder, NCAA Champion at Stanford University and former member of the USA National Swim Team. During his time as a competitive swimmer Muhammad set 10 American Records and was a multiple US Open and National Champion. (Click here for news and media)

Muhammad believes that swimming is not just a sport, but a vital life saving skill. This led to the creation of his learn-to-swim initiative— Atlanta Swim School. Atlanta Swim School offers lessons for students of all ages, from infancy to adulthood, and believes that anyone, at any age or economic background, can benefit from swimming.

Atlanta Swim School founded the Four Plus One movement, offering one free scholarship for every four paying swimmers. Since 2009 Atlanta Swim School has been able to fund free lessons for children who would normally not have access to swimming lessons. To apply for our scholarship please complete our Scholarship Form.

Atlanta Swim School is a local partner of USA Swimming’s Make A Splash program. We are committed to partnering with groups focused on helping improving the quality of life for families and youth. See below to learn more about our partners.
